Eyes are generally low hp, so just don't stop moving when running from them. I'd say the wisps are the biggest pain, but you just need to focus on not getting hit by their little explosion they do after they die. The great threat in the Archives is a big eye which chases you and fires a confusion laser ever like 5 seconds, very easy to dodge because it is a heavily telegraphed attack. In the best world, you would try and pull away chucks of enemies. In regards to The Archives, the puzzles have a knack for putting you in compromising situations where you can die of you aren't used to them, and the enemies tend to swarm you. Also, ore isn't taxed and gold is, so it's easier to farm ore and them sell the ore to pay for upgrades. Combine that with the Shaftlocke Pickaxe (uncommon item from shop) and you have 250% ore pickup. There's also a common tavern drink which gives 100% ore pickup. If you focus on upgrading the ore vendor, you can get the buy price to 800 and the sell price to 700. Quick note, farming gold is only useful when you have low ore selling prices. By default, the Paladin has a pair of yellow shoulder-guards and light blue armor. The color of the armor and shoulder-guards can be customized by the player by choosing one of the 4 Paladin skins. Every class can be pretty powerful with the right set-up and items, but the Paladin (especially the Paladin) and the Sorcerer have the easiest time getting through the content without having to specialize their build. The Paladin, wielding a sword and a shield, is equipped with a crusader-like medieval helmet and armor. That said, you're probably better off trying to beat the game for the first time using either the Paladin or the Sorcerer. Speaking of resistance: the Warlock is the class that unlocks bonus resistance through class titles, so that might have been why it was suggested to you. Resistance upgrades from the Magic Shop are also a big help when it comes to Act 4 since so many enemies there deal magic damage. Blessings from the Chapel are also a good investment, but can be pretty pricey early on ― Path of Defender (20% reduced damage taken) for 10k gold is a definite must, though. Keep unlocking those town upgrades and purchasing personal upgrades for your character(s). But yeah, it also sounds like you're on the right track. The Archives are definitely a step up in terms of difficulty: especially the boss. You don't really need Resistance as Warlock in Act4, because you would barely be hit here, except for Boss, but ramming him might be the thing, since he will only attack you with spheres while you're up close.I had the same experience, so that must be pretty normal. You can also have +10% evasion drink, since you won't be too much reliant on primary attack. Oh, and considering drinks - with crits build that +75% to skills damage & +25% damage received thingy is of must. Just make sure you don't drink anything that makes you slow on the run. 2.72K subscribers Subscribe 3.8K views 2 years ago Bweeks talks about the skill based build and sets it up for the sorcerer class, he then test the build vs NG+3 (new profile series extended). It's tiring and silly method, but it works. When you can't reach them from the other side - agro them and run away leaving gargoyles behind. They won't fight back this way (lesser Eyes, by the way, bear simplified AI pattern and are bad at path-finding). Gargoyle has been useless waste of points to me, doesnt synergise but ymmv. Eye of the storm is pretty awesome i leave it up. The passive that creates more lightning bolts is insane. Try to build him around Skill's crits, because with his 3rd passive he has an avalanche of hitchanes per hit.Ĭoncerning Act 4: attack mobs through the walls with Eye of Storm. Second is pretty strong and was my main boss killer so at least 2 or 3 levels there is key. Originally posted by I>U:Sorry, but damage return is totally off here.
